We want to surprise my sister with a video slideshow at her wedding, how can we hook up the system tp play it?

We have a laptop, projector, screen %26amp; hopefully the DJ will let us hook into his speakers ( but he says he has no idea how to do that) however I or noone else I have talked to has any idea how to hook this stuff up and I am terrified this is going to be a disaster, can anyone advise me how to do this?We want to surprise my sister with a video slideshow at her wedding, how can we hook up the system tp play it?
I personally use photo story platinum to create a DVD Slideshow and display on TV with a DVD player.

It is very simple. just 3 steps and you will create photo slideshow playable on TV.

hope it will help, and enjoy the wedding,it will be sweetWe want to surprise my sister with a video slideshow at her wedding, how can we hook up the system tp play it?
Your projector will probably have come with a cable that can connect your laptop to your projector. It's rather hard to describe what it looks like, but it should look like:

Once you have those to connected you can turn your projector on and hopefully the laptop screen will be projecting on to your wall. If it is not, fiddle with the ';input'; button (or similar) on your projector until it pick's up your computers signal.

Position the projector so that it fills your screen.

To hook your computer to speakers could be slightly more complicated depending on the type of speakers. The chances are, if they are a DJ's, they wont have the typical connection a normal, household speaker has, and will not plug into your laptop.

Im no genius but i reckon his speakers will be plugged into an amp, and that amp should have a socket for your average left and right speakers.(red and white)

You will need to buy a special cable at a local computer store, if you ask, they should be able to supply you with one (it might be costly)

One end will have two connections, for right and left speaker sockets on the amp.

The other end will plug straight into your laptops headphone socket.

Hopefully that has helped, i hope all goes well

Sorry i couldn't remember the names of these cables, but your local store should be able to assist you.
First of all, you need to plug the projector into the laptop, to do this you SHOULD be able to use an SVGA/VGA (or HMDI if your laptop and projector support it). After you have figured out how to hook up your projector, you will need to set up sound, most speakers will support 3.5mm jacks, a double ended 3.5mm jack should work then. If the other end of the 3.5mm jack does not work with your laptop (you put it on the headphones socket usually located at the front) then you will need to use a 3.5mm jack to USb converter. Hope this helped!
