im in high school , i know alot about computers and audio, i play guitar and have a small recordig setup in my basment with a computer m-audio fast track pro and a midi keyboard. There is a small charity dance at school and a volunteered to dj, I know how to use beatsync which is a free version of tracktor to just fade in and out of songs but thats really boring, i mean its fine, no ones expecting anything more but i wanna do more. If i just have a laptop, (I need to do all mixing effects on the laptop) what can i do to maybe mix it up a lil bit, throw in sum loops? is there a better program? (I have a mac but if i need to use a pc i can get one)

Basically try to play a variety of music..Not everyone likes crap like rap. Check out music like the sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties too.
