How can I Dj with my Laptop?

I have a MacBook and I really wanted to learn how to Dj. I recently saw a guy Dj with only his computer and was wandering if there was anything I could download on my computer to get started.How can I Dj with my Laptop?

In my opinion the best thing you can do is download Traktor Scratch and buy an Audio 4 soundcard. This way you can also connect a mixer to the Audio 4 and use cd players(ex. Pioneer CDJ-600) or turntable along with the special cd or vinyl. This way everything you do on the cd players will be applied to the traktor in live time.


Traktor Scratch and Audio 4 can also be used without a mixer and players.


It's the best way to perform without burning disks over and over again.


Many well-known producers/djs use this set in their live sets.

iTunes DJ. Not state-of-the-art or anything but it should do the trick. You need a fairly updated version of iTunes. Just go to the left pane and click iTunes DJ. Add songs manually or automatically, switch the order, etc. You can add a crossfade in the options too.
